Phil was raised in Phoenix Arizona but has been a resident of Florida since 1978.  He received a B.S. in Engineering (Chemical) from Arizona State University and a M.S. Engineering (Nuclear) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.  He worked as a nuclear licensing and design engineer for a 40-year career before retiring from Florida Power & Light. 

 

Before moving to Wimauma in 2022, he was a Democratic precinct captain in Palm Beach County since 2008.  He also served as a training director of the Palm Beach County Democratic Executive Committee for several years and trained several hundred precinct captains and volunteers in the use of voter data bases. 

 

In 2017, he co-founded the Western Communities of West Palm Beach Democratic Club.  He is married and has two adult children and three grandchildren who live in the Tampa Bay area.
